Asia Bibi Case
Is Islam an ideological doctrine for which there is not even a single good example?
The name of this woman, who became a victim of Islam’s horrific hatred and cruelty, is Asia Bibi. For those who obsess over names — she is Christian. This woman from Pakistan was kept in a death‑row cell for eight long years on charges of blasphemy.
Do you know what the accusation was?
It began with an extremely ordinary, everyday incident. She was working in the field with her Muslim coworkers. During a break, feeling thirsty, she drew water from a well and drank using an old metal cup she found there. This simple act was enough to bring accusations against her.
In rural Pakistani society, many Muslims consider Christians “impure” or “unclean.” Within that social belief, the accusation arose that she had “contaminated” the drinking vessel used by Muslims. But such a claim alone would not stand legally, so the Muslims began saying she had insulted the Prophet Muhammad. That was enough — the “defenders of faith” erupted instantly. On the basis of this accusation, she was sentenced to death.
When the provincial governor publicly objected to the case against Asia Bibi, he was murdered by his own bodyguard. Later, extremists glorified that bodyguard as an Islamic “hero.” This is Islam.
The religious sentiment of Muslims is such that, throughout history, militant‑minded Muslims have killed countless people. Most killings have been justified by accusing someone of insulting the Prophet — labeling them shatime rasul. The Prophet Muhammad himself initiated this pattern: he sent assassins to kill many who offered even minimal criticism of him. He even encouraged the killing of a pregnant woman by cutting open her belly and killing her and her unborn child. He also established the rule that anyone who shows the slightest disrespect toward him becomes shatime rasul and can never be forgiven; Muslims are obligated to kill such a person. Even if the accused repents and seeks forgiveness, they cannot be pardoned. Yet someone who speaks against Allah can be forgiven if they repent. Muhammad left such laws for himself. That is why you will notice that blind followers of Islam want to kill anyone they believe has insulted the Prophet. You have seen how Dipu Das was beaten and burned alive.
The first killing in the Indian subcontinent over writing and “hurting Islamic religious feelings” occurred in Kolkata in 1924. The victim was a small‑scale publisher named Narendranath Chakraborty, who translated foreign books. The killer was a pimp from a brothel who did not even know what the book contained.
The second killing was committed by a young man from Karachi named Ilmuddin, who murdered the publisher Rajpal. Muslims turned him into a hero. Even Jinnah himself stood in court to defend him. Bangladeshi extremists still promote Ilmuddin as a role model. If you observe Ataur Rahman Bikrampuri’s “Anti‑Shatim Movement,” you will see how they glorify Ilmuddin and aspire to commit similar killings in Bangladesh.
Above, you saw how an ordinary agricultural laborer — who had lived and worked peacefully with Muslims her entire life — was turned into someone “worthy of death” over a trivial matter. In 2018, under intense international pressure, Pakistan’s Supreme Court acquitted Asia Bibi. But after the verdict, thousands of “defenders of faith” took to the streets, unleashing violent riots demanding her immediate execution. A local survey found that nearly 10 million Pakistanis said they would personally kill Asia Bibi if given the chance.
After the verdict, her lawyer was forced to flee the country. Asia Bibi herself hid for months. Eventually, she escaped Pakistan and found asylum in Canada.
This incident shows how religious minorities and dissenters live under permanent fear, violence, and the threat of death in Pakistan — and under Islamic governance more broadly. This is what Islamic rule looks like.
“Pakistan does not follow real Islam,” “Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan — none of them follow true Islam” — these are simply false claims by so‑called moderate Muslims. Lying to defend Islam — taqiyya — is permissible for them. What kind of ideological doctrine has not a single good example?
