Beware clicking on Nude Videos in Facebook

Be Careful in Facebook

Please do NOT click on sexual videos on Facebook – doing so can put you in extreme danger

[Writing this took me several hours, costing me a few thousand taka during peak working hours. It won’t cost you anything to read and share it.]

Case Study – Example of a Real Person

Mr. Selim Reza. Head teacher of a government primary school. Naturally, a respected member of society. I do not know him personally. Yet his profile appeared before me. Just before blocking him from a group, I thought — let me see what the real issue is! He has been in distress for almost a year. His various statuses prove that. From his profile, messages go to his friends, comments appear in different groups. Pure sexual video screenshots — those. His friends are shocked to see such things being spread under his name. He blames an unknown hacker who has supposedly taken control of his profile. But is there really any hacker involved? Someone advised him not to give his phone to others.

He is using these fiery statuses to avoid responsibility. He is trying to put the blame on some imaginary illegitimate child and free himself. He even tries to change his password. That status is from almost a year ago. Now look at the screenshot below. It was posted on April 16 as a comment in some group.

Answer: The hacker set up a system and left it. He cast the bait. He swallowed it. Even the hacker doesn’t know he swallowed the bait. He himself doesn’t know that he keeps swallowing the same kind of bait repeatedly.

Some Questions

– Tell me, Mr. Selim, do you ever — or often — click on similar videos when they appear from a friend’s profile?
– If you do click, why do you? To see what the video contains?
– After clicking, do you actually get to watch the video? If not, you are shown some information there. Do you read those before giving permission?

Now Let’s Talk About a Few Things

You have clicked — or still click — on those so‑called video spam posts. No matter how much you try to hide your fault, you were curious to see the content of those videos. Whenever you click, the video redirects you to another page. It may look like Facebook, but it is not Facebook. You give all your personal information there just to see the end of that video. At that moment, you become the victim. This is called phishing. Now the hacker’s system will play with you. It will send similar video links to your friends under your name. But if you had not tried to watch that video, if you had stayed within the boundaries of your personality and ethics, none of this would have happened.
Look, there are thousands of scammers in the world. Facebook is now a family of billions. There are thousands of scammers here too. Due to some Facebook security issues and your carelessness, these scammers take advantage. In the process, the hidden lustful side of your personality gets exposed. This is not just your problem — it is the problem of thousands of Facebook users. Outwardly religious, but inside a lustful character — these phishing viruses expose that. If you don’t take the bait, they cannot make you their victim.
You have a head and eyes. Please use them. Your brain can process things within 2–4 seconds. Stay firm on ethical standards. Do not fall for money, sexual temptation, or any other lure. Then you will see — not just on Facebook, but nowhere else will you face such embarrassment.

For Everyone

Recently you may have seen many nude video screenshots in Facebook news feed, comments, and messages. Please do not click these spam videos — even if they appear under your friend’s name. Delete the post and report it directly to Facebook. Inform your friend that someone else now controls their Facebook account. They need to regain control quickly.
If you intentionally or accidentally click on such a link, what can happen? First, it will take you to another site. It will ask for your information or request access to your Facebook data. These sites may contain keyloggers, password‑stealing tools, malware, spyware, and other harmful viruses that will take control of your Facebook account. They will send messages and comments to your friends under your name. In short, this is extremely risky for you.

How Do I Know a Video‑Looking Post Is Dangerous?

– Suspicious forwarding URLs such as: katourao.us, CABIBENU, COMMONDATASTORAGE.GOOGLEAPIS.COM
– Claims of leaked videos, unwanted photos, unusual news, celebrity scandals, or secret content you would never find on any legitimate website
– Nudity, pornography
– Claims like “If you watch this video, Facebook or someone else will donate X dollars”
– Emotional or shocking news designed to manipulate you
These are tricks hackers use to fool and lure you.

How Do I Protect Myself From Spam Virus Videos on Facebook?

– First, hover your mouse over the video/post link to see where it redirects. If it shows facebook.com or a familiar site like youtube.com, you may click. Otherwise, delete the post and report it.
– Hover over the play button to see if it changes. On Facebook or YouTube, it does. Check the size — if the play button is larger or smaller than usual, be suspicious. If unsure, delete and report.
– If you accidentally click, log out immediately.
– Change your password right away.
– Check your browser for any plugins/extensions — remove suspicious ones.
– Clear your browser history and recent activity logs.
– Turn on your firewall.
– Use Malwarebytes or any internet‑security antivirus/malware removal software.
– Scan your PC.
Use your brain, keep your eyes open. Do not fall for money, sexual content, or any other temptation.
Share these tips to save and inform others. Remember, most of these problems occur because of your carelessness and inability to control temptation. These are not Facebook’s faults. These spam types evolve constantly. So you must stay aware. The internet world is not as simple as it seems. If you avoid temptation, you can avoid many problems. Remember, no one gives you anything for free here without a motive.
