Allah Loves Praise

Why is Allah dependent on humans? Why does He need praise from such tiny beings?

“There is no legitimate Prime Minister of Bangladesh other than Tareq Zia, and BNP is the official ruling party of Bangladesh”

– If you can silently repeat this sentence 1,000 times within the first month of forming the government, the government will build you a house and gift you 100 bhori of gold. Record yourself saying this 1,000 times and send it to Tareq Zia today.

You don’t believe me? Yet you firmly believe that – if you recite ‘La ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasulullah’ 1,000 times in the first 10 days of Ramadan, countless blessings await you. Tell me – ‘There is no deity except Allah, and Muhammad is His messenger’ – whether you mutter this once or 1,000 times, or don’t say it at all, what loss or gain does it cause to Allah or Muhammad? Why would Allah be pleased if you waste time mumbling it repeatedly? If you recite the first line above 1,000 times, record it, and send it to Tareq Zia, he will definitely call you insane. If Allah truly is the one and only Creator, why does He need to be reminded again and again? Does Allah have memory issues? Will He regain His senses if you remind Him? Is that how it works?

If it were like this – you go to a Sanatani who believes in many gods and goddesses and tell him, “Allah is the only deity; the thousands of gods you worship are nothing” – that would at least make some sense. But when you mutter it to yourself, who exactly benefits from it, and why?

Allah – or you could say Muhammad, the creator of Allah – said in the Quran that Allah depends on no one, yet He cannot function even for a second without your praise. If you don’t praise Allah while standing, sitting, walking, moving, eating, or sleeping, He becomes extremely angry. This anger is so intense that He will burn you in fire for thousands of years. No matter how great a scientist, doctor, or humanitarian you are – if you simply do not accept Allah as the only deity, you will never enter heaven; you will burn in hellfire for eternity. But if you do accept that Allah is the only deity and Muhammad is His messenger – then even if you commit murder, rape, genocide, or worse crimes, you will suffer in hell for a short while and then spend eternity in heaven. In heaven, you will live in a golden palace, enjoy 72 houris, thousands of child servants (ghilman) will massage your hands and feet, and you will engage in sodomy with them – something already practiced in the Qawmi madrasas of Bangulland. You will own date orchards thousands of miles long. What will you do with so many dates? Who will you sell them to? You will eat figs and plant figs – other than planting, you won’t have much work there. In front of you will be rivers of wine – will you bathe in all that wine or drink it all day? How much will you drink?

In the Quran, Allah says He created everything for humans. He first created the earth, then the sky, the sun, the stars, and the moon. Allah also looks like a human – He has human-like hands and feet. This is from the Quran and Hadith – Allah created humans in His own image. He even sits on the Throne with His backside. From a scientific perspective, the Quran’s story of the universe is utter nonsense, but let’s assume Allah created everything. Now let’s do the math.

The diameter of the observable universe is about 93 billion light-years – an unimaginably vast sphere within which everything we can see has had enough time for its light to reach us. But this is not the entire universe; it is only the part from which light has reached us. The true size of the universe is unknown – it is expanding every second. It may be infinite, or there may be regions beyond our observable part where the laws of physics differ. The total structure of the universe – dark energy, dark matter, ordinary matter – forms an immense system we still cannot fully grasp. It is so vast that it cannot even be calculated on a calculator.

The observable universe may contain hundreds of billions to a trillion galaxies. Each galaxy contains hundreds of billions of stars, and around those stars orbit countless planets. A billion means 1,000 million; a trillion means 1,000 billion. It is estimated that the total number of planets in the universe is in the septillion (10²⁴+) range. How many of these planets may contain life is still unknown, but given the sheer numbers, scientists believe the number of life-bearing planets is unlikely to be small. In this vast crowd of stars and planets, humans are unbelievably tiny – a tiny species on a tiny planet orbiting an ordinary star in a corner of an ordinary galaxy. Compared to the universe, human existence is smaller than a speck of dust.

Now tell me – if Allah created all this, why is He so desperate for praise from these dust-like humans? Why does He descend to the “lowest heaven” on certain nights to listen to people crying? If people cry and beg for forgiveness, He forgives them – but with one condition: they must acknowledge Him. Why is He powerless without a certificate from humans? There may be billions of planets with intelligent life – yet Allah did not create the universe for them; He created it for humans. His only purpose is that humans praise Him day and night, constantly reminding Him that there is no deity except Him. What does that even mean?

That is why in Ramadan you must praise Allah more and more – your mercy is your own responsibility.
