Slavery and Islam

In Islam, the preservation of slavery and the prohibition of adoption – the driving force behind both was the politics of gender and sexuality

Allah’s moral compass is completely shattered! But Allah cannot be blamed for this. Allah is not a real entity; Muhammad created these rules to fulfill his own material and personal needs — especially to obtain more women for sexual access, he did whatever was necessary. After enjoying slave women, selling them also generated money for jihad. The main consequence of preserving slavery and banning adoption was making more women and children vulnerable and deprived. This benefited Muhammad and his companions, as they gained access to many women and young girls for intercourse.

The believers often say that Islam did not create slavery. According to our argument, that is correct, but according to their “dhpas” theory, since Islam existed from the moment the 90‑foot Adam arrived on earth, the responsibility falls on Islam because it is Allah‑endorsed. Those who defend Islamic slavery or make excuses forget a historical truth. In 1956, the United Nations formally banned slavery worldwide through the ‘Supplementary Convention on the Abolition of Slavery,’ which most countries implemented in less than 20 years. Of course, except the Arab countries that followed Islamic law — others had already banned it on their own initiative. Yet Islam failed to fully abolish slavery even in 1350 years. Oman and Saudi Arabia abolished it in 1962, and finally Yemen and the UAE were forced to abolish it in the 1970s. Even today, after 26 years of the new century, in 2026, slavery still exists in Mauritania, which is governed by Islamic Sharia law (where it was nominally banned in 1981 but not criminalized until 2007, and modern forms of slavery still persist).

Therefore, those who say — “Islam instructs good treatment of slaves, to kiss their feet every night before sleep and massage their backs” — their claim is so unrealistic that even Disney could not create such a ridiculous fairy tale. The main point is that instead of making excuses about caring for slaves, completely abolishing slavery has always been better for humanity — something Islam, which claims to be Allah’s religion, never did. For this one reason alone, it can be said without hesitation — Allah is not a creator, Muhammad is not his messenger, and Islam is not a religion of humanity. For any conscientious person, this single reason is enough to reach that conclusion.

The banning of adoption is even more strange and intentional. Muhammad kept Zayd as his adopted son for 15 long years. During that time Allah never came and said — “O Muhammad, you are making a big mistake here!” But the moment Muhammad saw Zayd’s wife uncovered, beautiful, and attractive, suddenly at that very moment, several verses of Surah 33 (Surah Al‑Ahzab) were revealed. There, the adoption system was instantly banned and Muhammad was “commanded” to marry Zaynab — saying that since Zayd no longer needed her, Muhammad could now take her.

“Call them by their fathers’ names. That is more just in the sight of Allah…”
— Quran 33:5

A few verses later it says:
“…Then when Zayd had ended his marriage with her (i.e., finished his need for her), I joined her to you in marriage… And the command of Allah must be fulfilled.”
— Quran 33:37

Wow! What wonderful and wise words from Allah! O Allah, why did You not reveal this rule earlier? But this is not the end — there is more surprise. Muhammad had another adopted son named Salim. When some believers claim Muhammad adopted Zayd before Islam, it must be remembered that Salim was adopted after Islam and after the Hijra — less than five years earlier. According to hadith sources, Salim first accepted Islam and only then was he adopted. Therefore, adoption existed even after Islam arrived and was abolished only for special needs. Use your conscience to examine what that need was — if you have an impartial and humane conscience.

This modern legal and social transformation of banning adoption is extremely horrific. A father marrying his daughter becomes halal! In normal society outside Islam, adopted sons and daughters are not treated differently. But Islam? For example, under current Iranian family law, if an adopted daughter is 13 years old, the father (adoptive father) can marry her — which essentially supports the Islamic principle that an adopted child is never a real child. This is widely practiced in Iran!

In conclusion, both preserving slavery and banning adoption were driven by gender and sexual politics. Because of legal rights over war captives, slave women, and concubines, it became easy to sexually exploit women. On the other hand, banning adoption deprived orphaned young girls of family protection, leaving them in various charitable shelters, whose sole purpose became marrying them off as quickly as possible — since Islam has no minimum marriage age. Allah’s moral compass is so broken that no healthy social system could be worse than this. But remember, this was not a divine law from Allah; it was the rule created by an ancient, harsh, famine‑stricken desert’s politically ambitious, woman‑obsessed, child‑seeking, desert‑raider chieftain who could not think beyond his era.
